# Data Storage Layer

The **Game Terminal Data Vault (GTDV)** serves as the backbone of the platform's data storage architecture, providing users with flexible, secure, and modular storage solutions. The GTDV operates on top of a decentralized verification framework, ensuring data integrity through multiple layers of validation and consensus, while offering tailored storage options to balance cost, performance, and security.

## **Modular Data Storage - GTDV Framework**

The **GTDV Framework** is a multi-tiered storage system built on top of advanced data protocols, ensuring that data is not only stored but continuously verified for accuracy. Utilizing **Active Validation Services (AVS)**, the framework enables dynamic validation of stored data, ensuring consistency and reliability across all layers. The storage tiers are segmented to cater to different user needs:

* **Economy Tier**: Optimized for low-cost storage with basic validation layers, ideal for non-critical data.

The **Game Terminal Execution Layer (GTEL)** is currently integrated with **Greenfield** for decentralized storage, and it plans to expand its support to additional blockchain-based storage solutions in the near future. This decentralized storage option provides enhanced security and redundancy, ensuring data availability without reliance on centralized infrastructure.

## **Centralized Storage Options**

For users who prioritize cost over decentralization, **centralized storage** options are also available. Despite its cost-effectiveness, centralized storage, such as **AWS S3**, may not offer the same level of data availability and redundancy as decentralized options. The **GTEL** supports full integration with AWS S3 for seamless data retrieval and storage, with plans to extend support to additional centralized providers as required. Centralized storage remains a viable option for users looking for an economical solution without sacrificing encryption security.

## **Local Storage & Flexibility**

Game Terminal provides the flexibility to store encrypted data on local or self-hosted solutions, giving users direct control over data management. This option ensures that data can be stored in a secure and private environment, with the GTDV system offering seamless integration for data retrieval and validation across local storage options.
